Nine rain-soaked days along the Konkan coast
The plan was only to keep the sea on my right and ride until the road stopped feeling familiar. Monsoon rain changed that plan every few hours, turning short distances into slow, vivid days.
Following the weather
Every morning began with tea, a look at the clouds and an optimistic guess about the road ahead. The rain arrived sideways, emptied the beaches and made the red earth glow against the palms.
What stayed with me
It was less a trip made of landmarks than repeated rituals: fish thali for lunch, wet shoes outside a small room, and stopping the bike whenever the coast suddenly opened below the road.
